Blogging!

So it has been forever since I last blogged!  I need to blog more often and just vent!  It is a new year, so why not a new me?  I decided I wanted to go back to school and work towards getting a Bachelors.  Maybe in communications or marketing.  I also started a diet with my sister and bestfriend.  We are eating 1200 calories a day and working out almost everyday!  Hopefully I will see results soon.  I am looking for healthy recipes, so if anyone is reading please recommend some!

My current obsession are BOOKS!!  I have read so many books lately.  Vampire Academy series, The Hunger Game trilogy, Steve Jobs, The Maze Runner trilogy.  I just love it!  I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas, and I've read two books on it.  I wish I had some more suggestions for books?

Pinterest?  Where did this come from.  It like BOOM and everyone was talking about Pinterest.  I have found some neat ideas off of Pinterest, but what is the history behind it?

Anyways, hopefully I will blog more!  Its one of my new years resolutions.

Hot Tools

People ask me all the time how I curl my hair or what brand of curling iron I use.  I thought I would go ahead and do a blog over it for anyone that is curious because I love to tell people about products that I like.  I use the brand Hot Tools, and I use the gold series.  I have purchased two different sizes of these curling irons and I have also bought them as gifts for people. I have purchased all of them from Ulta.  I have never found a curling iron to curl my hair like this one does because my hair is so thick.  It gets really hot and I can curl my entire hair in a short time.  It is a easy look.  I can do big loose curls or little tight ones.  They are very inexpensive and are well worth the money.

Bobbi Brown

Bobbi Brown is by far one of the most amazing people I have read about.  She is such a powerful, amazing woman.  I would love to meet her.  I have decided I am going to purchase all of her books and read them.  I recently bought the newest one, Beauty Rules.   I read the book as quickly as possible I was hooked.  I found it so inspirational.  It touches base on every aspect of beauty.  It had so many tips and tricks that I am going to re-read it just so I make sure I took everything in.  The one thing I liked most about the book is the before and after images and real people, not models.  Bobbi Brown never uses a lot of dramatic makeup, but natural.  Each person looked so amazingly gorgeous!  I have tried a couple of things she talks about in the book and they are true and work.  Bobbi Brown seems like a down to earth person who really cares about people and I will surely start purchasing more of her products.  This book was great and positive.  She conveys a clear message that beauty starts within and she helps you learn to achieve that.

Obsessions?

I thought I would do a post on some of my new obsessions.

First would have to be LUSH! I had never tried anything from Lush and I had heard so many reviews and I looked at the site an did some research and I knew I had to try some products.   I bought two different massage bars, one of them has glitter.  I love them both and they are so easy to use.  I bought several bath bombs, and I must say I have a obsession with them.  They are so relaxing and peaceful and I love the art in your bath water!  They make you skin feel so amazing.  I also tried the Coal Face facial cleaner.  I really like how it is gritty because it really makes my face feel cleaned when I am done.  It not only exfoliates, but it moisturizes too and has really helped with my acne.  I am definitely going to go back and try more products.  I am so excited.  I love mostly that they are handmade.  So time and effort has really went into every product.  I love the descriptions for every product, they are so clever.  The sales people both times I have been have been more than nice and offer to show and tell you anything you want to know.

Next is the Benefit brow bar.  I am always unsatisfied with my brows and no one can ever seem to get them how I would like. I had heard about the brow bar and excellent reviews I just never actually went to one.  I was in Macys one day and thought the set up of the bar looked so nice and exciting!  So I got my brows done and I absolutely loved them.  They was so precise and took there time.  They really new what they was doing and didn't just slop wax on your face.  They waxed them according to your eyes.  I ended up buying the Benefit Brows A Go Go.  I never realized that defining your brows really makes a difference.  I always have had really dark, thick brows so I never seen the purpose of defining mine.  I now see that it really frames your eyes and gives your face that extra pop.  I like this kit different than other eye brow kits I've seen because of the wax.  My eye brows are always moving and I'm having to fix them and this wax helps them stay and place and always helps the powder stay in place.  I really love the kit so much!  It is definitely something I will re-purchase when it runs out.  I can't wait to go back and get my brows done.  At the end they even try out benefit products on you. I was really satisfied with my results.

Sebastian Professionals

A few weeks ago I bought a Sebastian Professionals flat iron.  I had never heard of the brand at all, but I was watching youtube videos and seen a girl that had about the same texture as my hair using it and it worked really well for her.  I thought I would buy one because I have been in bad need for a flat iron.  I bought it from http://www.beautychoice.com/ and I was really pleased with my purchase.  I've been using the flat iron often and I love it!  Most flat irons make my hair feel so heavy and press it straight to my head and I have to run it over each strand of hair a million times.  With this one it just takes a time or two and each strand is good to go and my hair feels so light weight and my hair actually stays straight the hole day. I would suggest this flat iron to a lot to anyone.  I have really thick wavy hair, so when I find a product that does my hair justice I love to spread the word.  This flat iron also heats up really quickly which is a huge plus!

Fall Break

"It takes courage to grow up and be who you really are."

I have been on fall break this week.  I am so relived.  I have just been trying to reflect on my life.  I feel like the world has been lifted off my shoulders. I have been so stress, I dred for it all to start back.  The upcoming quarter will be my last.  I feel like school has whizzed by. It makes me sad that this chapter of my life is almost over.  I have met so many amazing people and I have changed so much over the past two years.  I only hope I continue to be a person I am proud of and what to be.  I am so nervous. This is really going to be the beginning of my life.  I have so much to figure out like where I want to go in my life and work to get complete before that time.  I just hope everything works out for me.

If anyone has advice, feel free to give it to me.

Is it fall?

It has been so chilly lately and it has really made me realize fall is really here.  I am kind of liking it!  I am ready for a change.  It was probably the hottest summer I can remember.  Fall weather just gets me so excited.  It makes me think of fires and camping.  I also really like the make up looks for fall and the fashion.  Everything looks so soft and warm.  I think fall is just a peaceful season.  It makes me want to step back and just enjoy the moment.  My wish is to have a get away cabin by a lake during fall just to appreciate nature.
